Regina Police Service Investig

The Chief of the Corman Park Police service is under investigation following a complaint laid by one of his constables.

The Corman Park Board of Police Commissioners has not suspended Chief Wayne McGillvray, but it has hired an interim Deputy Chief to handle all issues that may involve the complainant during the investigation. Board Lawyer Mitch Holash says Robert Fitches is a police consultant who has acted for other provincial police services in the past. He says Fitches has a solid background in policing ethics and operations, and will report to both the Board and Holash. Neither the Board nor its lawyer will talk about the nature of the complaint, or when the incident took place.

Holash says the Regina Police Service will conduct the investigation, and no deadline has been placed on when the Corman Park Board wants a report. He says that will allow a thorough investigation of the complaint.
