No charges against police over

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed no charges have been laid against two police officers in Dubai over the death of a Christchurch golfer.

Aaron Mahoney was killed when the squad car he was in overturned earlier this month. Police initially said the crash happened when Mahoney was drunk and tried to grab the officer who was driving the car.

But MFAT spokeswoman Helen Tunnah says they have spoken to Dubai police who say charges have not been laid.
