Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan will not allow his men who are guilty of corruption to be let off scot-free.

He said the police will not tolerate attempts by anyone to tarnish the reputation and integrity of the force.

OCPDs are constantly being reminded to take action against those among their men found to be involved in graft, as provided by the law, he added.

In cases where there was insufficient evidence to prosecute those guilty of corruption in court despite them having clearly committed the offence, Musa said he will ensure that the Anti-Corruption Agency recommendations are complied with.

"We will take disciplinary action against these men after our investigations. The recommended actions by the ACA will be followed through and these men will be slapped with a demotion, pay cut or even the sack," he told the New Straits Times yesterday.

No less than 85 per cent of the recommendations by the ACA were followed through, he said when commenting on the issue of department heads in the civil service who did not take action against their corrupt officers despite being asked to by the ACA.
