Former Elgin police officer ar

ELGIN, Texas — A former Elgin policeman is jailed on charges linked to child pornography he allegedly left in a department computer.

A grand jury has indicted 46-year-old Orval Roger Miller indicted him on two child pornography charges. Bond is $500,000.

If convicted, Miller could face up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine for each charge.

The Elgin Police Department referred the case to the the Texas attorney general's Cyber Crimes Unit after reviewing Miller's thumb drive.

Authorities found an explicit video of children being sexually assaulted.

Miller earlier worked as a community college police officer in Austin.
