The wife of one of three former Rotorua police officers accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a girl has described the investigation as "shameless, unethical and unprofessional".

Police chief in expenses quiz

One of the most senior officers in the Metropolitan police is under investigation over his expenses claims.

Assistant commissioner Andy Hayman, the force's anti-terrorism boss, has been questioned over expenses including for hotel stays and drinks, according to reports.

The Metropolitan Police Authority confirmed a report into expenses allegations would be examined by a committee of its members.
