Report on RCMP Set to be Relea

A review of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police touches on everything from funding to discipline, ethics, training and oversight.

In a letter to Public Safety Minister Stockwell Day, Toronto lawyer David Brown says "we identify fundamental issues and make clear, and sometimes tough, recommendations that we believe will best address the issues head-on, and rebuild a modern-day RCMP."

Brown was asked to review the RCMP by the Federal Government.

The report will recommend sweeping changes aimed at restoring public confidence in the RCMP.

The task force gathered input over five months from officers, federal and provincial officials, academics and management experts.
