Police get useful tips from ca

The Police High Command is reporting that it received useful tips on alleged acts of corruption involving members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force .

This follows strong feedback to Thursday night's call-in session which was organized in collaboration with the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica. Members of the public were asked to call in with information on corruption in the police force.

The calls were received by Police Commissioner Rear Admiral Hardley Lewin and Head of the Anti-Corruption Branch Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Justin Felice.

"The response was amazing really; we took over 90 calls in the three hour period, both myself and the Commissioner of Police. Some of those calls came from within the organization and some came from concerned members of the public who wanted to report wrongdoing," said ACP Justin Felice.

The High Command has been putting pressure on rogue cops, with several members of the Force arrested in sting operations since last year.
