HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- Two former Hollywood police officers arrested in an FBI corruption sting pleaded guilty Wednesday on drug conspiracy charges.

Kevin Companion, 41, and Stephen Harrison, 46, face 10 years to life in prison when they are sentenced July 20.

State commission clears Albany

The State Commission on Investigation’s findings Tuesday that there was no basis upon which for Common Council President Shawn Morris and five members of the council to lodge complaints of police misconduct, Albany Mayor Gerald Jennings Wednesday said the police department “is one of the finest departments in the nation, and is committed to the highest standards of excellence in its ongoing efforts to assure the safety of all citizens and visitors alike.”

The state commission also found the police department provides training for its officers that exceeds Division of Criminal Justice Services requests, that OPS thoroughly and promptly investigates all complaints brought to the attention of the department, and that the department properly refers all complaints to the CPRB as required by law,
