Troopers with 'politics' win o
Two-thirds of Tennessee Highway Patrol officers tapped for promotion under Gov. Phil Bredesen gave money to his campaign or had family or political patrons who did, a Tennessean investigation has found.

Wis. police chief under fire f

A western Wisconsin police chief is under fire for allegedly watching porn on his department computer.

Roberts Police Chief Ricky Prine is on paid suspension after the misconduct allegations surfaced.

Roberts, Wis., residents gathered at a police review board hearing Monday.

"The village contends and we think the evidence will support that there are good reasons to terminate the chief," explained City Attorney Michael Brose.

According to witness testimony, Prine used his work computer to access hundreds of pornographic images.

"I think as the hearing goes on, we'll find most of this was brought on by a troubled former employee who has some significant issues in his background," said Prine's attorney, Roger Palek.

That former employee, Eric Fisher, now sits on the village board as president. Fischer is a key player in this investigation. He declined to comment.

In a 10-page employment complaint, Prine is also accused of five counts of misconduct for inappropriate behavior towards his employees, the village board and the public.

The town hearing will continue on Tuesday.
