N.L. police forward investigat

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has forwarded an investigation into alleged misconduct by a high-ranking police officer to the provincial Crown for an independent review.

Deputy Chief Robert Johnston says the force has asked the Crown for a legal opinion after the Ontario Provincial Police finished a report into a complaint of misconduct earlier this year.

The police department has not named the officer whose conduct was investigated and have not elaborated on the nature of the complaint.
