Rajeswar presents police medal

GOVERNOR TV Rajeswar conferred various police medals for gallantry and meritorious services to the policemen after taking salute of the ceremonial parade at the Reserve Police Lines on Thursday.

Inspector of Special Task Force (STF) PK Mishra was the first to receive the medal and others included inspector of Intelligence, Agra Vijay Kapil, inspector local intelligence unit, Bijnore Krishnapal Sirohi and commando Deep Charan of 47 battalion PAC, Ghaziabad.

The foursome had played vital role in gunning down three militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad in Gomti Nagar on April 17, 2001.

The Governor also conferred the President’s medal for excellent services in fire services to leading fireman posted in Unnao, Mohammad Salim and Baburam Pal.

The President’s gold medal was presented to sub-inspector Ramnath Singh Yadav posted in Etawah for killing a dreaded criminal in the ravines and rescuing two kidnapped victims on March 1, 2005. Sub-inspector Raja Ram Singh Rana got the cash reward of Rs 15,000 from the Governor for conducting best investigation.
