UK: Five police staff held in

Three women police staff and a WPC have been arrested in an inquiry into a cocaine dealing ring at a police station.
A 32-year-old male police officer has also been arrested on suspicion of possessing the drug. All are based at Slough in Berkshire.

The WPC, also aged 32, was arrested for alleged supply of the drug as she arrived for duty last week.

All five Thames Valley Police staff have been suspended as inquiries continue. The three women civilian staff, aged 21, 29 and 36, were held over supply of a Class A drug. All five are on police bail.

Chief Superintendent David Lewis, Commander of Berkshire East Basic Command Unit, said the force was carrying out a thorough investigation into the drugs claims and allegations of misconduct in a police office.
'These arrests demonstrate how seriously Thames Valley Police takes any allegations of misconduct,' he said.
'We continue to be committed to providing a police service of the highest professional standard and deal with allegations about our staff swiftly and robustly.'

All five of the police workers have been released on bail while the case is probed.
A spokesman added that all the staff were thought to have been in possession of cocaine but further tests were being carried out.
