Clive is currently the Area Commander for the Malvern Hills District of Worcestershire, England.
Most of his 25 years police service has been in operational roles, with recent experience in the Force Control Room, Uniform Shift Inspector and Custody Inspector before the current command role. He is a Police Federation Representative for Uniform Inspectors in South Worcestershire.
He has carried out research into the measurement of Fear of Crime for the British Home Office, resulting in the publication of 'Tackling Fear of Crime - a Starter Kit'. This was used by a number of local community safety partnerships, and UK Police Forces.
Last year Clive was invited to become a Specialist Reviewer (Police Studies) with the UK Higher Education Inspectorate body the Quality Assurance Agency, the first British Police Officer to become involved in such work.
