Grantville fires police office
On Wednesday afternoon, the Grantville Police officer fired in June for insubordination, failure to follow a direct order and allegedly falsifying his timecard had a hearing before the Grantville City Council on the status of his employment.

After Sgt. Chad Conley was fired on June 21, the council voted July 25 to reinstate Conley and put him on suspension. Govt firm to root out all sort

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Noor Mohammad on Friday said achievement of the police force depends on close co-operation with common people.

"The present government is determined to root out all sorts of corruption from the country," he said adding that "Behaviour of 100-year old police could not be changed in a day or a month."

The IGP asked policemen to change their behaviour and to be friendly to people as tax payers are providing their hard earned money for them. He, however, warned them that he would not tolerate any corruption.
