Three unidentified men dressed in police coats beat a man to death in southeast Moscow on Tuesday, a law enforcement source said.

"The attackers beat the man with batons and then disappeared. He died of his injuries at the scene," the source told RIA Novosti, adding that the attack happened near some shops just after midnight.

Information about the attackers was given to all vehicle- and foot-patrol officers in the district and the scene was examined by investigators, but the perpetrators were not found.
