Ghana: Police boss gets tough

The Ashanti regional police commander has warned of drastic sanctions against personnel who misconduct themselves.

The warning follows reports that two officers at the Buokrom Police Station took bribes to release a man they had illegally detained for four days.

The two unnamed officers who were interrogated at the Police Headquarters risk losing their jobs if found guilty.
