UK: Policeman faces misconduct charge over London G20 death
The riot squad officer who was captured on video pushing Ian Tomlinson to the ground during last year’s G20 protests shortly before the newspaper seller died will face proceedings for gross misconduct, Scotland Yard said on Tuesday.

The officer, named by media as Police Constable Simon Harwood, shoved Mr. Tomlinson, 47, in the back, causing him to fall after he had become caught up on the fringes of violent demonstrations outside the Bank of England in April last year.

Cop quits after alleged strip-

A Scottsdale officer is off the job after accusations he inappropriately strip-searched a young woman.

According to the alleged victim's mom, the 19-year-old woman called police Sunday morning about intruders in her apartment complex. The mom claims one of the officers, who came to investigate, ordered the teen to get naked. Afraid and confused, she complied with the strip-search.

The day after the incident, the teen's mom sent emails to the police department, government officials and the media. "This was pure police misconduct, human rights violation, and sexual harassment," she wrote. After the police department opened an internal investigation, the accused officer, Chong Kim, resigned.

Sources say police are looking into whether Officer Kim has done this before. 12 News has not been able to reach the officer for comment. br>
Scottsdale city officials declined comment about Officer Kim, citing the ongoing internal investigation. The Federal Bureau of Investigation says it has been contacted by Scottsdale police. The FBI may look into whether Officer Kim infringed on the teen's civil rights under color of law.
