The National Police Department has recommended the establishment of a special unit to carry out anti-corruption efforts. The 2008 anti-corruption report prepared by the National Police Department stressed that the plurality of groups working to end corruption in the department has an adverse effect on the success of these efforts.

Denver Police Officer Suspende
A Denver police officer has been suspended pending an investigation by Internal Affairs, a spokesman said Tuesday.
Police spokesman Lt. Ron Saunier would not give any reason why Lt. Nayo Arabalo was suspendedother than that he faces allegations of misconduct.
Saunier said Arabalo would be on paid leave until the investigation is complete.
